rebase init

Connect this repository to a workspace you belong to by writing its .rebase/config.json marker.

Synopsis

rebase init
rebase init <workspace>
rebase init <workspace> --directory <path>
rebase init <workspace> --force

Behavior

rebase init pins a repository to a workspace you already belong to. It writes the committed .rebase/config.json repository marker and nothing else: no sign-in, no new workspace, and the machine's active workspace is left alone. Commit the marker so every clone of the repository, and CI, resolves to the same workspace.

Without <workspace>, the command lists your workspaces and asks which one to use. The marker is written at the current git root, so running it from a subdirectory marks the repository once. If a marker that applies here already names a different workspace, the command stops unless you pass --force.

Use rebase setup to authenticate or to create a workspace.
